Project Wild thingNature, Gardening and Mental Wellbeing – Film and Expert Talks at glór

The highlight event of the new Clare Garden Festival Fringe combines the award-winning film Project Wild Thing with expert talks, featuring local Garden expert Brid Hedderman discussing Gardening & Mental Wellbeing, and Marion Burke of Crann Og on the importance of connection with Nature for Young and Old.

Filmmaker David Bond thinks Mother Nature needs a helping hand. His children are fascinated by screens but are strangers to the natural world. David appoints himself the Marketing Director for Nature and, with the help of marketing experts, he sets out to sell this amazing, free, wonder product. Project Wild Thing finds hilarity, joy and absurdity in the choices we face as 21st Century humans. Link to film trailer.

Information and tickets from glor are available here. You can also book this event as a Combined Weekend ticket from glor (Film + Jim Cronin Masterclass + Festival entry for reduced price of €25, call glor for details: 065 6843103.)

SUNDAY 29th April

FRINGE at Clare Garden Festival

Clare Garden Festival has always aimed to be both a treat for gardeners and for all the family. Now we are underlining this by offering even more excitement for all ends of the spectrum with our new Fringe. Of course, if you look it from that perspective, you‘ll find that actually our festival day on the 29th April, already includes a lot that could be called Fringe and we always are keen for people to discover and explore all the hidden gems at our festival.... Garden Displays, Demos, Crafters, Archers, Upcycling workshop ...

This is our Fringe so far and we would love input and feedback, contact us if you would like to participate with a Fringe event. It would be super to grow the Fringe festival further and we hope that gardeners in Clare and beyond will enjoy and support...
