The highlight event of the new Clare Garden Festival Fringe combines the award-winning film Project Wild Thing with expert talks, featuring local Garden expert Brid Hedderman discussing Gardening & Mental Wellbeing, and Marion Burke of Crann Og on the importance of connection with Nature for Young and Old.

Clare Garden Festival is a treat for Gardeners and a great day out for all the family. Garden & Food stalls from all over Ireland join the popular festival every year at the end of April with over 60 coming from near and far. The festival offers a great series of Garden Expert talks from an accessible stage and has much to offer and discover for young and older gardeners from demonstrations to show gardens.

The festival is run by Co Clare Agricultural Show Society at their premises of Ennis showgrounds, just off the M18. Clare Garden Festival is proudly supported by  Blarney Castle Gardens, Bord Bia, Clare County Council Environment Section, Clare Topsoil, Ennis Municipal District, Ennis Tidy Towns, Flynn’s Pharmacy, Rowan Tree Cafe Bar, Soil Renew and Zest!.

This year celebrating its sixth anniversary, the popular event will feature a large-scale Garden and Food Fair with over 70 stalls from all over Ireland and offers all-day expert garden talks on an accessible stage. In 2017, our designer show garden supported by Bord Bia will be built by Clare designer Ray Egan of Bud Garden Centre. A new feature will also be the first Botanical Arts exhibition in our indoor upstairs arena. The festival will see the continuation of the popular Pop-Up Garden Community competition and a wide range of new stallholders now even occupying the greenfield area from Clare and beyond.
The venue Ennis showgrounds featuring a huge indoor arena as well as outdoor spaces and plenty o
f parking is conveniently located just off the M18 and in walking distance of the county town of Ennis.
